A small outfit with its own gear
Manatee County grows a handful of trees that cause most of the calls. Laurel oaks get big fast and start shedding limbs by middle age. Sand pines and slash pines sit in loose soil on a shallow root plate. Sabal palms carry a skirt of dead fronds and seed pods that nobody thinks about until a storm is two days out and every phone in the county is ringing.
Wet ground is the part people miss. Summer afternoons soak the sand right through, and a tree that stood up to wind for years will lean the first time that same wind hits it with the roots sitting in water. If a trunk has moved after a rain week, or there is a crack in the dirt on the uphill side of the root flare, that is worth a look before it becomes an emergency at midnight.
The equipment here is owned, not rented by the day, and that is the whole reason the numbers come in where they do. It also means the person telling you what it costs is the one who has to make the cut, so nobody is quoting a tree they have not thought all the way through.

What you are paying for
A 4.9 rating from 40 Google reviews
39 of the 40 are five stars. The one that is not is still sitting on the profile, and we would rather you read it than wonder.
The estimate is upfront and free
We look at the tree, say what it takes to get it down without hurting anything, and give you the number. You decide from there, and the number does not move once the saw starts.
We own the equipment, so you pay less
Nothing is rented by the day and nobody is marking a rental up to you. That is where the low overhead comes from, and it goes straight into what you pay.
Insurance you can see before we start
Ask for it and a link comes to your email that you can open yourself. Anybody putting a rope over your roof should be able to do that in a minute.
Rigging goes up on every job
The gear comes out even on the small tree that looks like it does not need it. That is the one that catches people, because nobody is set up for it.
Based in Palmetto, out every day
Manatee County is home ground, and we cross into Sarasota, Longboat Key and over the bay into Hillsborough and Pinellas.
How a job actually runs
Tell us what the tree is and what sits under it, and a photo from the yard says more than anything you can describe over the phone.
We walk the property, work out the drop zone and what runs overhead, and give you the price standing there.
We set a day and tell you what needs to come off the driveway or out of the way before the crew pulls in.
The tree comes down in pieces, the stump gets ground if you want it gone, and the yard gets raked before we leave.

What 40 homeowners said
Every quote below is a real review, word for word, from our Google profile.
We contacted Urban Outdoor Solutions to give us an estimate on trimming a Banyan Tree that was comprising the integrity of our house and pool roof tops. Their estimate was reasonable and extremely fair. Their work was even better. Their work was quick and clean. I strongly recommend them for your yard solutions. Thanks tons Jacob.
6/19/2024 update: Jacob was just out to pull up part of my paver patio that was starting to have sinking and heaving pavers. He removed the pavers in the impacted area, repaired the base, replaced the pavers, used a plate tamper to level everything out, then finished with a fresh coat of sand and a fresh edge coat of concrete.
Jacob showed up as promised to give an estimate. His fees were reasonable and the crew returned as promised to do the job. They were quick, thorough and even went the extra mile with last minute add-ons. I can’t say enough good about the punctuality and quality. I highly recommend Urban Outdoor Solutions. Thank you Jacob!
I had an awesome experience with Jacob. I got his number from a friend. He came out same day for my tree estimate. After telling him what I wanted a dying tree removed that was threatening my power line he went above and beyond and included trimming my palm tree and pine tree at no additional cost. His prices are by far the best around.
I absolutely love this company! Jacob is very professional and knows about the different types of trees and where to cut them for healthy results. It is so refreshing to have an honest company that charges a reasonable price. Jacob is a hard worker and he gets the job done fast. He even helped me carry out my own yard waste to the curb.
10 Stars for Jacob & his crew, they are fantastic! He stopped by my house DURING Hurricane Debby when he saw I had tree limbs down on my fence. He & his guys cleaned that, and picked up all the other crap in my yard for an incredibly reasonable price, getting soaked in the process as a band came through! I will never lose his card!

Grinding is a separate machine and we bring it. We take the stump below grade so you can put sod or a bed over the spot instead of mowing around it. Say whether you want the chips hauled off or left in the hole, because that is part of the price.
It depends which line. The one running from the pole to the corner of your house we can work around with rigging and careful cuts. The high line on the pole itself belongs to the power company and they have to come out first, so tell us which one it is, or send a photo, and we will tell you straight.
Less than most people think. Cutting a sabal or a queen palm back to a pencil point takes away the fronds it feeds on, and it comes back weaker and thinner the next year. We take the dead fronds, the seed pods and the loose boots, and leave the green where it is.
Yes, and you can see it yourself. Ask and a link goes to your email so you are reading the certificate instead of taking somebody's word at the tailgate. That matters most on the jobs where the tree is over the roof or the pool cage.
Sometimes. A live oak with two leaders splitting at a tight crotch can be cabled and braced high in the canopy so the wind load gets shared instead of tearing the union open. A hollow trunk or a rotted root flare is a different story and no hardware fixes it. We will tell you which one you have.
It goes with us unless you want it. Brush gets chipped, the trunk gets cut into rounds, and the yard gets raked down before anybody pulls out. If you want the rounds left for firewood or the chips dumped on a bed, tell us when we are looking at it.
